Broad based black economic empowerment (BBBEE)

Prior Learning Centre has been rated as a level 2 contributor (AAA) by Empowerdex.  A full copy of our Empowerdex rating certificate and/or report is available on request from Luvuyo (luvuyo@rpl.co.za).   

 Social responsibility

Each year our staff select a worthy social responsibility project within our community.   In 2006 we supported the Teddy Bear Clinic (a centre for abused children) and in 2007-2010 supported a local primary school (Nooitgedacht Primary) with their feeding scheme.  We have also facilitated the collection of over 100 pairs of soccer boots and sports shoes for the pupils of the school.  For 2008 our staff decided to continue supporting Nooitgedacht Primary and food parcels are delivered to the school each month for over 30 children.   This has now grown to a point were we are feeding over 40 children by donating food that is cooked daily and distributed to the children during meal break.
