Non-RPL assessment servicesPrior Learning Centre assists training providers and SETAs to design and implement non-RPL assessment services for a variety of situations. Examples of such activities include the Final Summative Assessments (FSA) we designed for the Services SETA, RPL tools and processes designed for an HWSETA RPL project, formative and summative assessments designed for independent training providers such as DSS and Learning Resources and the design of RPL tools for various Services SETA projects (e.g. for the services SETA SDFs and PAG RPL implementation). In addition to providing assessment tools and processes, Prior Learning Centre also provides large corporations with assessing services. A typical example is where in-house facilitators train staff but where the employer has insufficient assessor and moderator resources. Prior Learning Centre is then contracted to collect the assessments, assess and moderate them and arrange external verification with the relevant ETQA. Prior Learning Centre performs this outsourced assessment service for a number of large employers such as Santam and Mutual & Federal and associations such as the Independent Dealers Association (IDA) and the Public Relations Institute of SA (PRISA).
